Rotman has developed a curriculum built around Roger Martin's famous concepts on Integrative Thinking and Business Design Thinking and are considered as one of the most influential management thinkers in the world.

Business Designing a Customer-centric Culture

DT - Customer Centric

Business Design offers a structured framework for understanding and pursuing innovation in qualitative ways that contribute to organic growth and add real meaningful value to our customers. The Business Design cycle involves 3 gears:

Business Design Thinking is a human-centred approach to innovation that requires you to think like a designer and to be inside the problem and design the solution after having walked in the shoes of the stakeholder. Business Design draws upon logic, imagination, intuition, and integrative thinking, to explore possibilities of what could be—and to create the desired outcomes that benefit the end user (the customer).

When design thinking principles are applied to strategy and innovation, the success rate for innovation dramatically improves. Design-led companies such as Apple, Coca-Cola, IBM, Nike, Procter & Gamble and Whirlpool have outperformed the S&P 500 over the past 10 years by an extraordinary 219%, according to a 2014 assessment by the Design Management Institute.
